On Becoming Lyon Bard

by Lynnette de Sandoval del Valle de los Unicornios

I never thought of myself as a bard, even as I moved closer and closer to doing more "bardic" things.

But winning the Lyondemere Lyon Bard competition (6/26/21) pretty much made me as "official" a bard as possible.

I was surprized, amazed, and over the moon. So, of course, I wrote a limerick!

On Becoming Lyon Bard

There once was a girl from Caid
Who had a creative seed
She entered a poem
It found a good home
And now she's a bard in deed

When I posted it on Facebook, Wyatt D. Odd answered with:

There once was a girl of Caid
For whom fiber was more her speed
She wrote a few words
And the people were stirred
Now she's a double threat indeed!
